Gaze Is Ghost

I’ve been revisiting the work of Gaze is Ghost since hearing her pick up a play on Across The Line last Monday. It’s the work of Laura McGarrigle, who originates from Strabane but has been based in Paris. ‘Plume’ establishes her as one of the best acts this country has produced in quite some time and adds to a great wave of fine female artists from this neck of the woods. I’ve yet to see her perform live but there’ll be an opportunity on Saturday when she performs in St Augustine’s Church in Derry on the Other Voices Music Trail.
